POEM FOR MY WIFE
I am ragged with depletion.
I am lost.
The night
Has a billion spaghetti junctions.
In the wraith worlds of my mind, my departed daughter,
A tattered ghost,
Who does not recofnize me.
In the bowels of my confusion
The cool grace of your slender hand
Meets me, calms me,
Comforts me ...
And leads me into the light,
My salvation.
I am lost.
The night
Has a billion spaghetti junctions.
In the wraith worlds of my mind, my departed daughter,
A tattered ghost,
Who does not recofnize me.
In the bowels of my confusion
The cool grace of your slender hand
Meets me, calms me,
Comforts me ...
And leads me into the light,
My salvation.
